So heres the scoop, I am the biggest baby when it comes to scary movies and I will admit that Paranormal Activity 1 and 2 did give me chills and maybe a nightmare or two but the forth one, in my opinion, is hardly scary at all.
If you have scene the other three movies I would still recommend going to this movie because it does continue to match the story line and if you haven't scene the other ones watch them first because it will make a lot more sense.
P.S. the chronological order of the Paranormal Activity movies is 3, most of 2, 1, last 5 minutes of 2, and then 4.
It has been five years since the disappearance of Katie and Hunter and at the beginning of this movie you, once again, see the ending of PA2, there is a young boy from across the street named Robbie, his mom gets taken to the hospital and he stays over at the house across the street for a week. The daughter living in this house, Alex (Kathryn Newton), begins to hear bumps in the night and is frightened by Robbie. Her and her friend, Ben (Matt Shivley), set up cameras through out the house and start to see very odd activity happening throughout Alex's house. Like any PA movie, the last half hour is full of horror, death, and a lot of shaky camera motion sickness.
Who will die? Who will survive? and Where are Katie and Hunter now?
